Hong Kong, Nov. 29, 2022 – HashKey Digital Asset Group (“HashKey” or “HashKey 集團”) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Alibaba Cloud and PlatON to explore potential collaborations on various projects, including co-developing and supporting an infrastructure and technology platform for developers in the Web 3.0 space.
The platform aims to provide developers with the necessary and consummate back-end technology services such as cloud computing and multi-chain Web 3.0 infrastructure including decentralised identifiers (DID) to build various Web 3.0 applications and protocols in gaming, social media and the Metaverse, among others. The collaboration was officially announced on 29 November at the Alibaba Cloud Summit Hong Kong 2022. Attendees at the Summit were able to claim a limited-edition digital collectible in the form of a non-transferrable Soulbound Token (SBT). The SBT was created and minted via HashKey DID and can only be claimed through its decentralised application (DApp) at www.hashkey.id.

This collaboration comes days after HashKey Group’s announcement where its subsidiary Hash Blockchain Limited had obtained the full licence from the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong to operate an institutional-grade virtual asset trading platform for professional investors. With its recent licence approvals, along with its new Web3 infrastructure service offerings, HashKey continues to bolster and expand its suite of virtual asset services as it looks to become the platform of choice for institutions in Asia seeking to get involved in the blockchain-enabled ecosystem.
