Explore the Potential of
Tokenisation

In this HashKey Insight Report we explore how tokenisation is creating new financial frontiers and how it has the potential to disrupt multi-trillion-dollar industries, from supply chain finance to commercial real estate and art.

Through fractionalisation and efficient technology, tokenisation can transform illiquid, privately held assets into liquid, high-quality collateral. Improvements to market efficiency are driving investment in the first wave of tokenisation projects. However, we believe that the real long-term opportunity lies in connecting tokenisation to the coming convergence of blockchain and Internet of things (IoT) technologies. The intersection of these technologies opens up almost limitless opportunities for investors, asset holders and entrepreneurs – the only bound being human imagination.

FAQ

What is an NFT?

An NFT (non-fungible token) is a digital certificate that proves the authenticity of a tangible or intangible asset. If something is fungible, it has the ability to exchange an asset for another of the same kind of equal value; physical money and cryptocurrencies are “fungible”. Each NFT has a unique digital signature that make it impossible for them to be exchanged for one another, thus they are “non-fungible”. Most NFTs exist on the Ethereum blockchain, although other blockchains support them as well.
