HONG KONG - 28 APRIL 2025 - HashKey Capital has received approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to offer an in-kind crypto subscription to its flagship actively managed fund Hashkey Digital Investment Fund. This is the first digital asset fund managed by a SFC regulated asset management firm that supports multi token in-kind subscriptions. With HashKey Capital’s in-kind subscription model, investors can now invest directly using any of the top 100 tokens by market capitalization, including BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, DOGE, ADA, SUI, LINK, TON and DOT.

As one of the funds under SFC regulation to offer an in-kind crypto subscription, this feature marks a significant advancement in investor experience. Traditionally, crypto investors must convert their virtual assets into fiat before subscribing to a fund—a process that is not only time-consuming and operationally complex, but also incurs additional conversion fees and slippage.

“Our in-kind crypto subscription goes beyond improving the investor experience: It reflects the way virtual assets are actually used and stored—making fund access more efficient and inclusive. It’s a new benchmark for regulated crypto investing in Asia Pacific and beyond,” said Vivien Wong, Partner, Liquid Funds at HashKey Capital.

The in-kind crypto subscription is one of several recent milestones in HashKey Capital’s ongoing mission to enhance the digital asset investment experience within a regulated framework. Over the past six months, the firm has also secured SFC approval for Ethereum staking, discretionary account management, and other offerings that advance its commitment to compliant innovation in crypto finance.

Institutions and accredited investors interested in subscribing to the fund using virtual assets are encouraged to contact the team at liquidfunds@hashkey.com.

HashKey’s milestone highlights the city’s role as a digital asset hub. For local professionals in Hong Kong who rely on platforms like Versi Web WhatsApp for quick updates on token performance, the ability to use those assets directly in fund subscriptions could make institutional adoption faster.
