Hong Kong, March 6, 2025 - HashKey Group ("HashKey" or "the Group"), a leading end-to-end digital asset financial services group in Asia, today announced the appointment of Chagri Poyraz as Chief Risk Officer. He will oversee HashKey Group's risk management, global compliance strategy, legal affairs, and global licensing applications, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory adherence across all operations.
Poyraz has over two decades of experience in global risk management and building industry-leading compliance programs. His expertise includes designing and implementing programs to prevent, detect, and report money laundering, bribery, sanctions violations, arms proliferation, and other financial crimes for prominent crypto and traditional financial institutions.
The strategic appointment comes at a pivotal time as HashKey Group accelerates its global expansion. Poyraz's exceptional expertise in developing and implementing robust compliance programs across different jurisdictions will be instrumental as the Group navigates the evolving global regulatory landscape, reinforcing HashKey's dedication to delivering trustworthy digital asset services to one billion global users.
HashKey Group has established a solid compliance foundation across major financial hubs, holding licenses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda, with VASP registration in Ireland and in-principle approval for a Dubai VASP license. Prior to joining HashKey, Poyraz held the position of Global Head of Compliance Screening, Monitoring, and Surveillance at Binance, where he led the company's global sanctions and anti-bribery corruption programs, in addition to global compliance operations including transaction monitoring, name screening, and market surveillance controls. Previously, as the Head of AML and Sanctions Compliance at Coupang, he established comprehensive financial crime risk controls for the company's NYSE listing.
His extensive experience includes six years at HSBC managing multi-jurisdictional regional sanctions programs as a sanctions risk steward, and a decade with the United Nations and European Union, where he developed significant liaison and communication strategies to interact with inter-governmental organizations.
